Digital Divide 2.0: Digital Inequality Among Georgian Students
A mixed-methods study combining PISA 2022 secondary data with a primary survey of university students to examine how access to, use of, and skills with digital technologies vary across socioeconomic and geographic lines in Georgia. The study goes beyond simple access metrics to explore second-level digital divides related to skills and usage patterns.
Psychometric Validation of the PSS-10 and General Self-Efficacy Scale in Georgian
This project focuses on the translation, adaptation, and psychometric validation of two widely-used psychological instruments for Georgian-speaking populations: the 10-item Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10) and the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSE). The study examines factor structure, reliability, and measurement invariance using confirmatory factor analysis and item response theory.
Cultural Life Scripts: A Georgian Replication Study
A replication of the original 2016 Cultural Life Scripts study in the Georgian context, examining culturally shared expectations about the timing and order of major life events. The 2026 replication allows for cross-temporal comparison, exploring how cultural expectations about life trajectories may have shifted over a decade of rapid social change in Georgia.
The Empirical Self in “The Knight in the Panther’s Skin”
A series of academic papers analyzing Shota Rustaveli’s medieval Georgian epic through the psychological framework of William James’s theory of the Empirical Me (the Material Self, the Social Self, and the Spiritual Self). This interdisciplinary project bridges classical Georgian literature with foundational psychological theory.
